Police Officer Interest Informtaion
Town of Mountain City Police Department (MCPD) has established an Employment Interest List for qualified law enforcement officers who are interested in Police Officer positions that become available. If you would like to get on this list, please complete and submit the form below.
PLEASE NOTE: Filling out a job interest form is the first step in being hired with Mountain City. We will not accept applications until we have an actual opening(s) to fill. When we have an opening, those on the Employment Interest List will be notified via mail or e-mail that MCPD is now accepting Police Officer applications. Upon notification, you will be required to complete an application. Interest cards will be purged December 31st of each year. Please resubmit your interest each January.
The City will conduct a fitness test for this position, as well as pre-employment drug testing and an extensive background check. EOE
To apply, you must meet the following requirements:
Be a high school graduate.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be POST certified.
Submit copies of all certification and educational background.
Be able to work shiftwork and/or holidays.
If you do not meet these requirements, your application will not be considered.
In order to qualify as a candidate, we require all applicants to fill out a Town of Mountain City application form.
In addition to your application you may also submit a resume and cover letter.
Fill out the application in its entirety.
We require the job history to be filled in completely, not "refer to resume".
